From 1966 until 1972, Crossing Press operated as New/Books.
It then took the name Crossing Press in 1972 and operated from Trumansburg, New York until 1986 when John and Elaine Gill moved to Freedom, California and operated the press there until the early 2000s when Elaine Gill sold it to Ten Speed Press.
